Dr Rakesh Amin is a Consultant at the Great Ormond Street Hospital and Institute of Child Health, London and sees patients privately at the Portland Hospital for Women and Children, London. His specialist interests include endocrine disorders and diabetes in children and young persons.
Dr Amin graduated with honours from the Leeds School of Medicine in 1991 with an MBChB, and received Membership of the Royal College of Physicians in 1995. In 2005 Dr Amin obtained a Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of Leeds for research into childhood diabetes and has undertaken specialist endocrine and diabetes training at the Great Ormond Street and University College hospitals, London; John Radcliffe Hospital, Oxford; Cambridge University; and the Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital.
