Mr Christian Brown is a Consultant Urological Surgeon at King’s College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust and the Lister Hospital, London as well as the Guthrie Clinic at King’s College Hospital in London. He has previously lectured on Master’s and Diploma courses on Urology and has taught practical surgical skills to both trainees and consultants in the UK and Denmark.
He has a specialist interest in urological surgery, including laparoscopic (keyhole) surgery, radical prostatectomy and minimally invasive treatments for urinary tract cancers.
Mr Brown was the first surgeon to perform a pelvic kidney removal through the umbilicus (belly button) and has published on this new, scarless procedure.
Mr Brown graduated from King’s College Hospital, London and undertook higher specialist training at University College and the Royal Marsden hospitals, London as well as a number of other hospitals across the southeast. In 2008 Mr Brown was awarded Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons (Urology) and is currently a peer reviewer for the World Journal of Urology.
