Prof Mosahebi qualified at Guy's & St Thomas Medical school in London. His Plastic Surgical training was in London Deanery in some of the largest and busiest hospitals in the UK. He has had further specialist international training in reconstructive and aesthetic surgery in New York, USA and in Belgium. Ash is a Consultant & Academic Lead at Royal Free Hospital, London.
One of the most senior international plastic surgeons
As one of the most senior international plastic surgeons, Ash is the Professor of Plastic Surgery at University College London (UCL), which is consistently ranked as being in the top ten of the world's university hospitals.
He is an author a number of important peer-reviewed publications and has lectured extensively worldwide. He is involved in pioneering research work into regenerating new tissues through new biomaterials, and via tissue engineering. He is also involved in advanced clinical trails into innovative techniques around wound healing.
He is on the editorial board of the Journal of Plastic, Reconstructive & Aesthetic Surgery, and he is Chair of the British Association of Plastic Surgery (BAAPS) Academy, past President of Royal Society of Medicine (plastic surgery section), has served on the United Kingdom specialist advisory committee for plastic surgery, and he is Director of the Aesthetic Masters programme UCL.
He has served on the advisory panel for Health Education England for the regulation on non-invasive aesthetic treatments.
