Dr Neal Navani is a Consultant in Respiratory Medicine at University College London Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust and treats patients privately at King Edward VII's Hospital, London.
He qualified in medicine from University College London in 2000. This was followed by a MSc in Clinical Trial Methodology in 2011 and a PhD in 'using endobronchial ultrasound to diagnose intra-thoracic lymphadenopathy'. He became a Member of the Royal College of Physicians in 2003.
Endobronchial ultrasound
Dr Navani is one of the leading endobronchial ultrasound practitioners in Europe, completing over 2000 procedures in the last 5 years. He was also a major contributor to setting up the tertiary endobronchial ultrasound service at UCLH in 2007.
Dr Navani specialises in all aspects of respiratory medicine including asthma, smoking related lung diseases and early diagnosis of lung cancer. He also has a particular clinical interest in finding and treating the causes of cough.
