About AVMs
Arterio-Venous Malformations (AVMs) are a tangle of abnormal blood vessels which, when found in the brain, often lead to a stroke or seizures. Surgery is one treatment option for these vascular malformations, although it is inadvisable to undergo standard surgical treatment for lesions greater than 3.5cm in diameter.
