Answer:
Lumps in the front of the neck may well be related to the thyroid gland. Thankfully the majority of these pathologies are benign but occasionally they are malignant in their nature so warrant an ultrasound. In the younger age group developmental anomalies related to thyroid descent present as lumps in the front of the neck, the so called thyroglossal cyst.
