Andrea Perry is an independent integrative psychotherapist and former chairperson of the British Association of Dramatherapists. She trained as a dramatherapist at the St Albans College of Art and Design (now University of Hertfordshire) and gained her post-graduate diploma in integrative psychotherapy from the Minster Centre London (now accredited by the University of Middlesex). She worked with adults with mental health difficulties for twelve years and has been in private practice since 1998.
Her own lengthy experience of claustrophobia led her to undertake iresearch with others with similar anxiety, and her innovative work has been commended by members of the medical and psychotherapy professions. She is now completely claustrophobia free, and offers consultancy to those also wishing to overcome this anxiety. She broadcasts on mental health and well-being issues for national and local radio, and writes for the national press. She is the author of three books, including the first book ever to be written on claustrophobia, and editor of a fourth.
