Mr Satya Bhattacharya is a Consultant General and Hepato-biliary-pancreatic (HPB) surgeon at Barts Health NHS Trust and he treats privately at King Edward VII’s Hospital, The London Clinic, The Princess Grace Hospital and The BMI London Independent Hospital. He is Honorary Senior Lecturer at the Centre for Digestive Disease, Barts and the London School of Medicine and Dentistry and Clinical Lead for the Liver and Pancreas Multi-disciplinary Team at Barts Health.
Mr Bhattacharya qualified with a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery degree from Mumbai in 1984 followed by a Master of Surgey in 1988. He was awarded Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh in 1992. This was followed by a MPhil from London in 1995 and intercollegiate FRCS in 1998.
He specialises in Laparoscopic surgery and surgery of the gallbladder, bile duct, liver and pancreas. Mr Bhattacharya is also an expert in radiofrequency ablation and chemo-embolisation for liver tumours.
