Miss Stella Ivaz FRCS (Urol) is an award winning Consultant Urological Surgeon.
Specialist in male and female urology
After completing her medical training at St George’s Hospital – University of London and qualifying with multiple prizes and distinctions in 2005, she undertook higher surgical training via the Royal College of Surgeons in London, followed by Fellowship Training in Reconstructive Urology at the Institute of Urology, University College Hospital in London.
Since then, Miss Ivaz has gone onto become a leading Urological Surgeon in her speciality and is now internationally known for her specialist expertise in reconstructive urological surgery with an emphasis on bespoke patient centred care. She is based in London and works at The London Clinic which has a number of premises across Harley Street and Devonshire Place in west London.
Her research interests are primarily focused on urethral stricture disease, bladder reconstruction, incontinence and artificial urinary sphincter surgery.
Miss Ivaz has a special interest in medical education and is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy. While her focus is on urologic reconstruction, her articles have been published in the medical journals on a variety of her other areas of interest, including general urology and medical education.

Why this particular specialism?
I very much enjoyed working with patients who have urological problems early on in my surgical career. Patients have life-transforming outcomes, making it very rewarding as a career choice.
We use state of the art technology in our specialty to diagnose and treat patients with urological problems, making this specialty particularly exciting.
What makes a good day at the office for you?
Happy patients - it is always nice to hear that patients are doing well and are happy with their treatment outcomes.
What piece of advice do you most often give to your patients?
My advice would be to choose their urologist carefully. It is so important for patients to have a surgeon they feel comfortable with. Patients should feel free to ask any questions and have an expert explain the benefits as well as any risks of any proposed therapeutic interventions.
