Miss Ivaz discusses her professional approach:
Personal treatment philosophy
I understand that every patient is different and unique. I make it my mission to provide the best individualised care for every patient I see.
Passionate about achieving the best possible outcome
I listen carefully to my patients and their needs. We then discuss the different treatment options. I involve my patients in the decision making process. I am passionate about achieving the best possible outcome for my patients and help them recover as soon as possible.
Why this particular specialism?
I very much enjoyed working with patients who have urological problems early on in my surgical career. Patients have life-transforming outcomes, making it very rewarding as a career choice.
We use state of the art technology in our specialty to diagnose and treat patients with urological problems, making this specialty particularly exciting.
What makes a good day at the office for you?
Happy patients - it is always nice to hear that patients are doing well and are happy with their treatment outcomes.
What piece of advice do you most often give to your patients?
My advice would be to choose their urologist carefully. It is so important for patients to have a surgeon they feel comfortable with. Patients should feel free to ask any questions and have an expert explain the benefits as well as any risks of any proposed therapeutic interventions.
