Dr Bhargava Consultant Dermatologist and Mohs Surgeon

Dr Bhargava Consultant Dermatologist and Fellowship trained Mohs dermatologic surgeon. He is a recognised expert in skin cancer, Mohs and surgical dermatology, hair disorders and cosmetic dermatology.

St John's Institute of Dermatology trained

After completing his medical training at University Hospital Medical School, London Dr Bhargava has gone onto undertake general medical training at University College London Hospitals and Guy's and St Thomas, culminating in Membership of the Royal College of Physicians (UK). He trained in Dermatology at the renowned St John's Institute of Dermatology in all aspects of general and specialist Dermatology and was awarded CCT(Dermatology) by the General Medical Council (GMC). He is on the GMC specialist register for Dermatology.

Subsequently he completed a prestigious Joint Royal Colleges of Physicians Training Board (JRCPTB) approved post-CCT Fellowship in Mohs and Advanced Dermatologic Surgery. He was elected a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians based on endorsement by his colleagues.

Experience

He is currently based at The Royal London Hospital where he is the Lead Consultant for Skin Cancer and Mohs micrographic surgery. At St Thomas' Hospital/ St John’s Institute of Dermatology he sees patients referred from across the UK for hair and nail disorders. 

In addition to his clinical duties, Dr Bhargava is an invited speaker nationally and internationally on skin cancer, surgery and hair disorders and acts as a supervisor to specialist dermatology trainees. 

He has authored numerous peer reviewed publications and book chapters including the hair and scalp chapter in the ubiquitous ABC of Dermatology series. He is a spokesperson for the British Skin Foundation.
