According to the BBC health reporter flu levels have continued to fall this past week, with swine flu no longer the most dominant strain in circulation.
Overall flu figures are down one third of that they were over the peak Christmas period according to the Health Protection Agency. The number of deaths linked to flu since the season began in October has reached 338, which is up from 254 last week however the majority of these deaths did not happen over the last seven days. This is because it has been taking labs several weeks to identify the reason for deaths.
With Swine flu no longer the dominant strain, Influenza B has taken over as the predominant strain.
