Sharon Dempsey’s practical guide provides good facts and resources to learn about the condition, the effects on health and how to cope day to day from both the carer or patient perspective.

The author, Sharon Dempsey graduated from Queen’s University, Belfast in 1991 and completed a postgraduate diploma in newspaper journalism at City University, London, she is also the author of ‘Extreme Parenting: Parenting Your Child with a Chronic Illness’. Working as a health writer and freelance journalist, she also writes about cancer-related issues for a national charity.

Her book aims to help broaden a knowledge of eczema and its treatment, to help communicate concerns with GPs or dermatologists and to identify a treatment strategy designed to meet individual needs.
